Some great news this Friday, Doncopolitan co-founders and co-editors have made the shortlist for this years Doncaster Business Awards. Our own #DonnyBoyo Warren Draper is nominated for Businessperson of the Year 36 & over, and Rachel Horne a.k.a #GirlBoss is up for Businessperson of the Year 35 & under.
The nomination is through their business: horne&draper, which is an arts and publishing house which publishes Doncopolitan. Some of the other awesome stuff that horne&draper have created includes; the one-off magazine Foxy Mex for Mexborough, published a poetry anthology for the Ted Hughes Festival, hosted free photography workshops from the Copley Road studio, and curated chow-down evenings highlighting the Donny food revolution.
This is an incredible achievement not just for a Donny start-up, but for the creative sector in Donny too. From all of us who get to work with Rachel and Warren, we are immensely proud of them getting some well-earned recognition for the work they do in our town.
Here’s a throwback photo to our two fearless leaders at the launch of our very first issue in 2014.

Well done Rachel and Warren! x
